Sustainably sourced and fairtrade homeware

The idea behind The Camphor Tree began, after the founder quit his 9-5 office job, to go travelling, feeling “there was more to life than this” It was whilst travelling in Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam , that the seeds of “The Camphor Tree” were sown…

A small business selling unusual, stylish, and tasteful goods for your house and home, that you won’t often find on the high street…..The products are frequently hand made, many are fair trade, some are recycled, and we try to use items made from sustainable materials (often by-products of other industries!). Look out for further information on the product pages…

As many of our goods are hand crafted, you will find many of the items are fairly unique, often with interesting differences in the natural materials used. Sometimes they are limited in stock, so not only are you getting a unique item, it may be a good place for an unusual gift? An alternative to a world of uniform manufactured goods, churned out in their millions?

The Camphor tree is a small but growing business, supporting fair trade organisations, small producers and runs an in-house recycling project.
